Bachleor of fashion Technology (B.FTech)

BFTech or Bachelor in Fashion Technology is a 4-year undergraduate program that deals with the various technical aspects associated with the apparel-manufacturing sector.

Candidates meet the eligibility criteria to pursue a BFTech course if they have completed their Class 12 (in the 10+2 pattern of examination) from any recognised Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination with passing marks. Apart from this, colleges also specify that in order to pursue a BFTech course aspirants should have studied subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at their 10+2 level.

ADMISSION GUIDELINE

For B.F.Tech Course: -

This is another course under the Undergraduate programme offered by NIFT and it stands for Bachelor of Fashion Technology. It will also be for 4 years. It will cover- Apparel Production as one of its main topics.

  • Candidates who have cleared the 10+2 examination from any recognized
    central/state board with physics, chemistry and mathematics
  • Candidates who have taken the General Certificate Education Examination in London/Sri Lanka etc., at the advanced (A) level or,
  • Candidates who have taken the exam in foreign countries and if that is recognized
    by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 are eligible or,
  • Candidates who have passed 3-4 years’ diploma recognized by AICTE or state
    board are eligible.
  • Candidates who are appearing for the 10+2 exam are also eligible.

NIFT reserves certain seats for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ GEN-EWS and PwD categories across its 17 campuses.
NIFT Cut Off is the minimum rank that will be released based on the program- B.Des, M.Des, MFM, MFTech and BFTech courses that candidates are seeking admission to through NIFT Entrance. Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC-NCL and Differently Abled Candidates (PHP)/ Foreign Nationals/ SAARC/ NRI under each programme as per the Reservation Criteria.
